Jacqueline Robinson has been announced as Chair of the new Mablethorpe Neighbourhood Board which will oversee the multi-million-pound Pride in Place programme in the area.
Jacqueline, who is also Chair of the Marisco Patient Participation Group, was appointed following an open call process that invited applications from local people.
A well-known community champion, Jacqueline volunteers at the Coastal Centre where she works closely with residents to offer support such as help with appointments and applications.
In addition, Jacqueline is an Age Friendly Ambassador, Digital Health Champion, and Domestic Abuse Champion, and signposts local people to services that meet their needs.
Jacqueline’s commitment to the community is further underlined by her involvement in local events and initiatives, such as Mablethorpe Carnival.
As well as her extensive community knowledge and experience, Mablethorpe resident Jacqueline also brings to the role of chair a wealth of skills gained through her forty year career in teaching.
Jacqueline said: “I am thrilled to be appointed Chair of the new Mablethorpe Neighbourhood Board and I can’t wait to get started.
“As the new Chair, I am committed to placing collaboration at the heart of Pride in Place in our town. I am absolutely passionate about the power of working together and I know that we can achieve so much when we have a shared purpose.
“I care deeply about this community and my various work with organisations and residents has given me a real insight into the needs, concerns, and aspirations of local people.
“Pride in Place offers us all a fantastic opportunity to make a difference in our area, and deliver real, lasting improvements that people want to see.
“I look forward to working with local people, board members, and partners – together for Mablethorpe.”

The Government’s Pride in Place programme has been set up with the aims of thriving places, building stronger communities, and taking back control. Through Pride in Place, Mablethorpe will receive up to £20 million in government funding over ten years, starting from 2027.
The programme will be overseen by Mablethorpe Neighbourhood Board, led by the new Chair, and bring together representatives from a cross-section of the local community to promote community leadership, including public agencies and anchor institutions, cultural, arts, heritage and sporting organisations, local businesses, social enterprises, and community leaders. Community engagement is key to the success of the programme and there will be opportunities for local people to get involved in the months and years ahead.
