NEEDED: Chair for Mablethorpe
Could you play a leading role in making change happen in Mablethorpe?
The search has begun for a community focused Chair to lead the new board that is being set up to oversee the development and delivery of Mablethorpe’s Pride in Place programme, backed by up to £20m of government funding from 2027.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong connection to Mablethorpe and a real passion for the town to lead the new Board, help shape the plan for investment, and drive the delivery of the Pride in Place programme forward.
We’re looking for someone from the local area who:
- Is a champion for the town
- Cares about the Mablethorpe community, and is ambitious for its future
- Wants to make a positive difference for Mablethorpe and improve the lives of local people
- Can work collaboratively and inclusively with a diverse range of different people including residents, community groups, businesses, stakeholders, and partners
- Can be a leader for others
- Is committed to making change happen and seeing it through

What does the role involve?
As Chair, your main job will be to champion your town for local people, making sure their voices are truly heard and that the community is at the heart of the programme.
We’re looking for someone local who will:
- Make sure that the Pride in Place Regeneration Plan for Mablethorpe reflects the needs and wishes of local people
- Lead the regular board meetings
- Be a champion and spokesperson for the Pride in Place programme and for the community of Mablethorpe
- Drive community engagement, making sure that local people are at the heart of the work

- Mentoring and support to carry out the role;
- Ongoing secretarial support and guidance from the Pride in Place Programme Manager and Coordinator, who will work side by side with the Chair including governance, compliance, coordinating Board meetings and relevant materials;
